With the ability to enhance high-quality images, the C-arm helps optimize and improve the precision of operations. From there, it helps limit invasiveness for patients, saves time and reduces surgical risks, helping to ensure patient safety.
What is a C-arm machine?
C-arm in English means C-shaped arm (half circle). When taking a photo, the machine will hug the patient's body to capture many angles to determine the exact position.
In principle, it is the same as an X-ray machine, with an X-ray emitter and a ray receiver to project onto a film image. However, instead of the doctor looking at the film like an X-ray machine, the C-arm can receive the image and show it to us at that moment (Real time) to confirm the surgical location. Doctors can also change the shooting angle, such as horizontal, left-to-right, or oblique angles using the rotation device in the C-arm.
